Baltimore magazine’s BRIDE, 2003: “Couples should remember that a wedding is not just a party, it’s also a family reunion, and people should be able to carry on a conversation without having to compete with the music,” says Ruth Goldstein, Executive Director of Peabody Productions, whose Conservatory-trained musicians... have been named “Baltimore’s Best” four times in the last 28 years by Baltimore magazine. “Our band is acoustic rather than amplified, and we’re capable of modulating our sound level.”
“Couples need to think about all their guests, not just their peers,” adds Goldstein, whose company provides both concert-size jazz orchestras and smaller ensembles for events. “Big Band and Swing never seem to go out of style, and everyone seems happy to either listen or get up and boogie to the music.”
