Baltimore Wedding Pages,1999: “Ed Goldstein, owner of the Peabody Ragtime Ensemble in Baltimore, takes a new approach to reception entertainment. There is a trend back to swing music, he said.

Goldstein likes to duplicate the Big Band sound without the aid of power amplification. His group is a seven-piece band that performs for more than 100 weddings per year, he said.

“We;re all classically trained musicians, and we have all been working full-time in the jazz field for the past 25 years,” Goldstein said. “We are equally at home in a concert hall as we are on a dance floor or at a wedding. In a ddition to Big Band and swing, we do Dixieland and Ragtime. We can also do contemporary music.”
